BIO 450 - IN-SERVICE TRAINING AND INSTRUMENTATION


This course involves the study of the basic principles of microscopy (including histotechniques, instrumentation theory, and application), as well as in-service training. Two-fifths of the course deals with theory and laboratory exercises; three-fifths of the course consist of on-the-job experience in a health agency or institution based on the student’s career interests. Students spend the last weeks of the semester, for a total of 135 hours, on the job.

Senior standing and permission of the instructor.
